Yellow Stone National Park

To enter this haven, one can opt to take any of the five entrances to the park. Yellow Stone National Park is a very huge place so it is advised to identify which place you would like to go and take nearest possible route. The east entrance is located 56 miles west of Cody, Wyoming. You can take this entrance via Highways 14, 16 or 20. If you are near Highways 191, 89 or 287, then perhaps you can take the south entrance. For the west entrance, you can access this via Highways287, 87 or 20.For a north entrance; take Highway 89 from the town of Gardiner. Lastly, the northeast entrance accessed via Highways 212 or 291 is approximately 2 miles away from Cooke City, Montana. It is recommended to visit the park for three to seven days to fully appreciate the beauty of the place. There are numerous attractions and remarkable flora and wildlife that will definitely capture your attention. Be reminded that the speed limit inside the park is 45 mph or 72 kmp hence take everything slowly and enjoy the amazing scenery.
Inside the park witness the famous attractions like the popular geyser known as the Old Faithful. Among the hundreds of basins inside the park, Old Faithful is the largest and is known because of its predictability. It erupts for about four minutes every 60-90 minutes. At the Norris Geyser Basin, check out the Echinus and Steamboat, the world’s tallest Geyser and be amazed with their beauty. At the central part of the park, Hayden Valley houses a large concentration of wildlife that would definitely amaze you. Here you can see bison, elk, occasionally grizzly bears, ducks, geese, pelicans and a spectacular view of the valley floor. Enjoy the view of almost 1700 species of trees and vascular plants together with a great wildlife living in the park. Here you can witness different species of exotic plants and an abundant non-native flora.
For a relaxing atmosphere, you would definitely like the Mammoth Hot spring. In the Mammoth District hot springs are accessible all year round even during mild winter. Tower Fall is one of Yellow Stone’s most popular waterfalls. For adventure seekers, take the short but steep hike down to the base of the waterfall.
For your safety, never try to walk in places where you’re not supposed to go, they say that “there is a real chance of depositing you in a boiling pool of water if you walk where you're not supposed to”.
