The Lake Titicaca is considered to be the highest commercially navigable body of water in the world. The famous Machu Picchu a UNESCO World Heritage site and is one of the most familiar symbols of the Incan Empire, the site is one of the most famous and spectacular sets of ruins in the world. Fly over the Nazca lines, a world renowned place because of its geometrical figures and giant drawings in the desert sand. Lastly, but surely not the least is Máncora a small beach town with the best beaches and great surfing area.
Chewing a coca leaf is legal in the country so when you see one, try not to look alarmed. If you are offered, politely excuse yourself if you don’t want to be positive with some drug tests. Peru’s thrilling culture can best be experienced in festivities, dancing, and in their cuisines. An example of which is Peru’s Purple month held every October. People wear purple outfits in honor of the Lord of the Miracles. Festivities are held and you will surely enjoy being a part of it.
