For a hiking experience, the Volcan Baru National Park offers excellent hiking trails. There are also numerous bathing and fishing sites in Boquette the small mountain village on the slope of Volcan Baru. This beautiful region is cool and fresh all year round and there are great walks through the fields of coffee, fruit and flowers. Boquette is 20 miles from David on a good paved road. Buses leave David every half hour.
